In the Confidential of WoM, the sketches of Gadget looked MAJORLY like Wall-E. I'm not surprised they changed his design, cause Pixar coulda sued and won.

I haven't seen it yet. But yeah, he is very Wall-E-ish.

Maybe it's R2D2 and Wall-E's love child, which they give up for adoption before C3PO and EVE find out... ;)
